Collective Somatic Listening

A fortnightly gathering for mothers ready to connect to their field of inner intelligence, and drop beneath the noise of the mind.

You’re often evaluating your parenting, and how you show up in your relationships. Endeavouring to make changes, and frequently taking the action of reading and planning these changes.

Sometimes something sticks, but there are other patterns and reactions - like the way you seek validation from your partner or your parents even when you know it never comes, or feel totally wound up by the end of the day - that you can’t seem to shift no matter what you try.

You sense there is something deeper buried in your body. These sessions are here to support you with those buried experiences that are clinging on despite your best efforts.

What is Collective Somatic Listening?

Collective Somatic Listening is a fortnightly gathering of mothers - a small, intimate group - coming together online to do the quiet, body-led work that talk alone can't touch.

You don't come to perform, explain yourself, or have everything figured out. You come with something - a tension, a pattern, a feeling that's been sitting with you - and, guided gently, you bring your awareness into your body with that intention held in mind.

There's something quietly powerful about doing this work alongside other mothers. Not a support group, not a workshop. Simply a shared field of intention, where each of you tends to your own inner landscape.

No somatic experience necessary. Your body already knows how to do this. We're just creating the space for you to listen.

Maybe You’re Carrying

🔷 The way you shut down when conflict arises with your partner

🔷  The guilt you carry about not being "present enough"

🔷  The grief of losing yourself in early motherhood

🔷 The grief of your own childhood - and the realisations of what you missed

🔷  The pattern of putting everyone else's needs before your own, and the resentment that quietly follows

🔷 The wound that sits just far enough below the surface that thinking about it doesn't reach it

What Shifts?

This is the work of listening to your body, trusting what unfolds, and allowing the innate healing that your body simply needs space held for.

Some mothers leave feeling lighter.

Some leave with clarity they didn't expect.

Some leave simply feeling more connected to themselves - and that alone is profound.

No prior somatic or embodiment experience is needed. You don't need to know how to "do it right." Your body already knows—we're just creating the space for you to listen.

This is for you if

✨ You're done with surface-level solutions and ready to work with what's actually happening inside you.

✨  You want to experience your body as a source of wisdom and guidance, not something to override or manage.

✨  You're curious about what might shift when you stop trying to think your way through everything.

✨  You're willing to be with whatever arises - even if it's uncomfortable, even if you don't have the words for it yet.

I'm Charlotte. I'm a somatic therapist and a mother - and the reason I do this work is because I know, firsthand, what it is to hit the ceiling of what thinking can reach.

My own healing journey began with recovery from bulimia. When I moved into motherhood, I was surprised by how much was brought to the surface - how much I struggled to ask for help, how much resentment arrived that I hadn't expected. My pre-motherhood tools took me so far. But there were wounds that lived deeper, just far enough down that I couldn't reach them in the usual ways.

Somatic therapy changed that. Not only did I experience more joy and love - I came into contact with my own authenticity, and the permission to simply be myself. That is what I know is possible in motherhood. And that is what I hold space for in these gatherings.

I am certified with the Focalizing Institute and have been working with mothers for 3.5 years, with a dedicated focus on somatic healing for the last two. I weave in the lived experience of my own 10-year healing journey into everything I hold.

FAQ

Do I need any experience with somatic or body-based work? Not at all. These sessions are accessible whether this is completely new to you or you've been doing embodiment work for years. Your body already knows - we're just making space to listen.

Is this therapy? These are healing-focused gatherings, not individual therapy sessions. If you're in an acute mental health crisis, please do seek one-to-one therapeutic support. But for the mothers doing the ongoing work of growth, pattern-shifting and self-understanding - this is for you.

What does a session actually look like? We gather on Zoom. I guide the group through a somatic process - gentle, spacious, and led by your own inner experience. You'll have the option to share briefly at the end if you'd like, but there's no pressure to speak.

Can I just join one session, or do I need to commit to a series? Each session is a complete experience in itself. You're welcome to join as a one-off, or to come regularly - whatever feels right. Many mothers find they want to return because of what builds over time in a consistent practice.

What if something unexpected comes up for me during the session? That's the work. I hold the space carefully, and you are always in charge of how far you go. You can pause, slow down, or simply rest - your body sets the pace. You will be invited into a community space where you can ask questions or reflect following the session.

Something in you landed here for a reason.

Your body has been trying to tell you something. This is a space to finally listen.
